BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in as an Indiana native Angela had the opportunity to explore artistic pursuits within the her high school Visual Arts Magnet Program as well as college, where she graduated with a BFA in General Fine Arts with a focus with various Fine Art mediums, Photography, Conceptual Art, and Art As Social Practice.
She fulfilled her childhood dreams of being an artist and working with computers during her internship and subsequent position as a an editorial illustrator, graphic artist and graphic journalist at the largest local newspaper in Indiana, The Indianapolis Star and News (later the Indianapolis Star).
After 14 years within the newspaper world, she went on to delve into the culinary world, exploring the possibilities of pastry, cakes, and confections. Just prior to the pandemic her interest in food expanded to include grant-funded research and work to address food insecurity and promote food equity within Indianapolis food deserts.
Since the pandemic she is regrouping to pivot and restart her outlook on food equity work as she also continues her artistic journey.
